Website owners and app developers can now prepare their products for discovery through Siri AI, Apple said on November 3, 2026, when it opened a Developer Preview for integrating app content and actions with the redesigned assistant. The preview gives developers early access to features that can make an app’s functions available through natural-language requests before App Store submission opens in spring.

Apple describes Siri AI as a new version of Siri built around conversation, personal context and direct actions inside its operating systems. Thousands of developers have already created integrations that let people request directions, manage a to-do list, send a message or catch up on an audiobook.

What Does the Siri AI Developer Preview Change?

The Developer Preview is available with the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 betas. It allows any developer to connect an app to Siri AI through App Intents, the framework that exposes an app’s content and custom actions to the assistant.

Once an app supports the new capabilities, people can ask for help in their own words. According to Apple, Siri AI can carry out custom actions such as checking a delivery, booking a reservation or placing an order. The preview also introduces skills, which let developers teach Siri AI to combine several actions into one experience.

For website owners, the practical significance is that an app’s searchable utility may extend beyond conventional search and navigation. A person could discover an app by asking Siri AI to perform a task that the app handles. Apple says the new system can also surface any entity in the Spotlight semantic index, even when that entity does not fit an existing schema.

How App Intent Support Can Change Discovery

Search visibility for an app may depend on whether people can invoke its functions conversationally. An app that exposes clear App Intents gives Siri AI a structured way to understand what the app offers and perform the corresponding action on the user’s behalf.

This creates several practical areas for a site audit:

  • Action readiness: Check whether core tasks can be completed without navigating to a particular screen or page. App Intents can expose those tasks directly to Siri AI.
  • Entity visibility: Review whether the app’s relevant content and entities are structured clearly enough for the Spotlight semantic index to surface them.
  • Natural-language clarity: Test whether actions can be requested in the words a customer is likely to use, rather than only through interface labels.
  • Multi-step workflows: Consider which sequences of actions could be combined into a single skill, such as finding an option and then completing the reservation.

Apple Intelligence Group Labs sessions on November 4 and 5 give developers a place to ask engineers about the new APIs, ask for advice and follow discussions. Apple has also published new documentation explaining the APIs, their use and how to evaluate an app’s experience with Siri AI.

Which Siri AI Features Are Available?

Apple says Siri AI supports personal context understanding, onscreen awareness and natural language. The company has started rolling out the capabilities across its own apps, including Calendar, Files, Finder, Journal, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Preview, Reminders, Safari, Shortcuts and Weather.

Those examples include finding a coffee shop visited the previous week or archiving files that have not been opened in more than a year. Apple describes these implementations as examples that developers can reference when considering their own integrations.

The assistant supports English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Apple says support for Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese will expand soon. Some features may not be available in every region or language, and Siri AI is currently unavailable in the EU for iOS, iPadOS and watchOS. Apple says it is working with the EU to find a path forward.

What Limitations Should Developers Know?

Siri AI requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device, a supported language and an eligible operating system version. It is not available for users under 13.

Apple also says certain Apple Intelligence features that rely on server-side models are subject to daily usage limits. The list includes Siri AI, intelligent photo editing tools, Image Playground and AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts. Daily limits may vary according to the feature, request complexity, system demand and system policies.

Apple says expanded access to features subject to those limits may be available for a fee in the future. It has not yet published the full terms and usage policies for Siri AI experiences, but says more details will follow. Use of the features is subject to Apple’s Apple Intelligence terms and conditions.

What to Do Now

  1. Review your highest-value actions. Identify the tasks customers complete most often in your app or on your website, especially those that can be completed in one request without further navigation.
  2. Check App Intent readiness. Read Apple’s new Siri AI documentation and determine which current actions can be exposed through App Intents without changing the underlying workflow.
  3. Test conversational phrasing. Try requests based on how customers describe their intent in support questions, reviews and sales conversations. Confirm that each request maps to a specific action.
  4. Plan combined workflows. Look for useful sequences that could become skills, such as locating an option and booking it in one interaction.
  5. Build a beta test plan. Use the Developer Preview to evaluate the experience before App Store submission opens in spring, leaving time to adjust actions, language and entity presentation.

FAQ

When Can Developers Integrate an App With Siri AI?

Apple opened a Developer Preview on November 3, 2026. It is available with the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 betas, ahead of App Store submission opening in spring.

What Can Developers Add to Siri AI?

Developers can expose app content and custom actions through App Intents. Siri AI can then handle requests such as checking a delivery, booking a reservation or placing an order, while skills allow several actions to be combined into one experience.

Which Languages and Devices Support Siri AI?

Siri AI is available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. It requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device with a supported language, and it is not available for users under 13.
